Nastassja Aglaia Kinski (German:[nasˈtasi̯aˈkɪnskiː]ⓘ; born Nakszynski, Polish:[nakˈʂɨj̃skʲi]; born 24 January 1961)[1][2] is a German actress and former model who has appeared in more than 60 films in Europe and the United States. Her worldwide breakthrough was with Stay as You Are (1978). She then came to global prominence with her Golden Globe Award-winning performance as the title character in the Roman Polanski-directed film Tess (1979). Other films in which she acted include the Francis Ford Coppola musical romance film One from the Heart (1982), erotic horror film Cat People (1982) from Paul Schrader, and the Wim Wenders drama films Paris, Texas (1984) and Faraway, So Close! (1993). She also appeared in the biographical drama film An American Rhapsody (2001). She is the daughter of German actor Klaus Kinski.

Nastassja Kinski (born January 24, 1961[1][2])is a German-born American movie actress who has been in more than 60 movies. She is the daughter of German actor Klaus Kinski.[3] Her movie debut was in The Wrong Move in 1975 at the age of 13.[4] She starred in 1976 in To the Devil a Daughter.[5][6] She was also in a television episode of Tatort called Reifezeugnis in 1976. That show was about a teenage girl in love with her teacher.[7] She was then in Boarding School in 1976.[8] She was also in Così come sei, also called Stay as You Are in 1978.[9] She won a Golden Globe Award for her role in Tess. The most recent movie she was in was Inland Empire (2006).

Early life
Born in Berlin as Nastassja Aglaia Nakszynski, Kinski is the daughter of the German actor Klaus Kinski from his marriage to actress Ruth Brigitte Tocki, thus making her half-sister to Pola and Nikolai Kinski. Her parents divorced in 1968. Kinski, after the age of 10, rarely saw her father, and she and her mother struggled financially. They eventually lived in a commune in Munich.
