J.B. Holmes Biography
J.B. Holmes is a professional golfer who currently plays for the PGA Tour. When he was in third grade, Holmes played on the varsity golf team at Taylor County High School. Holmes attended the University of Kentucky where he helped the school achieve an SEC title and he represented the United States in the 2005 Walker Cup. Later in 2005, Holmes turned professional and became a medalist at the 2005 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament. Holmes became the fastest golfer to reach one million dollars in career earnings in the PGA Tour. On September 1, 2011, Holmes underwent brain surgery and it was later discovered that Holmes was allergic to the adhesive that was used on the webbed titanium plate at the base of his skull. He had to undergo another brain surgery. In 2012, Holmes participated in 26 golfing events. So far in his career, Holmes has recorded 6 professional wins, 3 of which came on the PGA Tour and the other 3 came at other tours.

John Bradley "J.B." Holmes (born April 26, 1982) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour.
Early life
Holmes, born in Campbellsville, Kentucky, began to play on the varsity golf team at Taylor County High School in Campbellsville when he was in the third grade.[3][4] He suffered a mild form of dyslexia when in school.[5] Holmes's childhood friend, Brandon Parsons, is his caddy. While in high school he played on the Pepsi Junior Golf Tour. He attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington, helping to achieve SEC Title while there, and represented the United States in the 2005 Walker Cup before turning professional later that year.[6]
Professional career
Holmes was medalist at the 2005 PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament. He tied for tenth in his first PGA Tour start at the 2006 Sony Open in Hawaii and in February that year he won the FBR Open, making him the fastest golfer to reach $1,000

John Bradley Holmes (* 26. April1982 in Campbellsville, Kentucky) ist ein US-amerikanischerProfigolfer der PGA TOUR. Er zieht es vor nicht mit seinem Vornamen, sondern nur mit seinen Initialen als „J.B.“ angesprochen zu werden.
Nach einer sehr erfolgreichen Amateurlaufbahn, an deren Ende er 2005 im siegreichen Team der USA beim Walker Cup stand, wurde Holmes im Spätsommer jenes Jahres Berufsgolfer. Er gewann im Herbst das PGA Tour Qualifikationsturnier (Q-School) und errang somit die Spielberechtigung für die große nordamerikanische Turnierserie. Bei seinem ersten Antreten gelang ihm ein zehnter Platz bei der Sony Open in Hawaii und im Februar 2006 – es war der fünfte Start – siegte Holmes bei der FBR Open. Damit erreichte er die 1 Mio. $ Preisgeld-Marke, so schnell wie kein anderer PGA Tour Golfer vor ihm.
