Travis Stever (born 25 Nov 1978) is the lead/rhythm guitarist for progressive-rock phenom Coheed and Cambria. He was initially in a band formed by Claudio Sanchez called "Toxic Parents", until they split and reformed alongside Nate Kelley as "Beautiful Loser" in 1995. Beautiful Loser then became Shabütie after Stever left. In 1999, he rejoined Shabütie and is since the only continuous member of Coheed besides Claudio. he also is a guitarist to the band L.S.Dunes along with tucker rule the drummer and tim payne the bassist of thursday, frank iero the guitarist of my chemical romance and his various other solo projects, anthony green of circa survive, saosin, the sound of animals fighting, etc.

In 2005, Stever, alongside Joey Eppard, Billy Riker, Chris Gartmann, and Joe Stote from 3, formed Fire Deuce, an 80s-style metal group. Fellow artists like Claudio (harmonica, guitar, vocals) and Josh Eppard (drums) have made appearances. In 2006, Stever created a solo project known as The English Panther, which was then renamed Davenport Cabinet in 2008 after the Davenport Brothers

[modifica | modifica wikitesto]Travis formò il gruppo dei Shabutie nel 1995 assieme al cantante/chitarrista Claudio Sanchez, al bassista Jon Carleo e al batterista Nate Kelley. Ma la band si sciolse presto e si riformò senza Travis. Fu durante questo periodo che Claudio Sanchez iniziò a suonare come chitarra principale della band. Dopo l'arrivo del nuovo bassista Michael Todd nel 1999, Travis si aggregò nuovamente alla band come lead guitar.
Coheed and Cambria
[modifica | modifica wikitesto]Dopo le sperimentazioni con diverse sonorità, la band adottò il genere del progressive rock e cambiò il nome in Coheed and Cambria, nomi presi dai protagonisti della saga fantascientifica scritta da Claudio Sanchez e le cui vicende sono al centro delle canzoni della band. Travis suona come lead guitar, canta e si alterna con Sanchez negli assoli di chitarra.

Coheed and Cambria
Travis Stever is a founding member of Coheed and Cambria. The band is named after the title characters in lead singer-guitarist Claudio Sanchez's story, which is central to most of the band's albums.[2] Stever acts as a lead and rhythm guitarist in the band. He wrote the lyrics for the song "Ten Speed". He and Sanchez share leads and solos in the band's music, and often switch back and forth in the "dueling guitar" style made popular in the 1970s.[citation needed]
Stever is the lead guitarist and vocalist of a side project called Fire Deuce, a 1980s-style metal band who released "Children of the Deuce" in 2005.
A 2006 side project released an album entitled The English Panther.
