FORMER #CFWBB STANDOUT AUGUSTE INDUCTED INTO FCSAA HALL OF FAME

OCALA-- During her time at the College of Central Florida, Alberta Auguste made an impact on and off the court.

On Friday, Auguste became the first CF women's basketball player elected to the FCSAA Region VII Hall of Fame. During her career at CF, Auguste was an impact player, but that was only the beginning of her success.

After her days with the Lady Patriots, she signed with Tennessee and led the Lady Vols to consecutive NCAA National Championships. Auguste was the first-ever junior college player recruited by the legendary Pat Summitt.

Before heading to Knoxville, Auguste was a two-time all-Mid-Florida Conference selection. As a sophomore at CF, she earned Mid-Florida Conference Player of the Year and also the FCSAA Player of the Year. She was also first-team all-state, NJCAA All-American and Kodak All-American.

To get there, Auguste averaged 27.3 point per game and ranked third in the nation with 5.0 steals per outing. Her success on the court enabled her to earn the FCSAA's Female Athlete of the Year in 200

Biography

Auguste began studying Earth sciences in 2012 at the University Claude Bernard of Lyon (France) and later joined the École Normale Supérieure of Lyon (France) within a cross-institution formation. He punctuated his formation by numerous palaeontology focused internships realised within and outside these institutions. He graduated his geosciences bachelor in 2015 and later specialised in paleoecology and geochemistry within a master (PSP) he graduated in 2017.

Further specializing into these fields by starting a PhD within the same academic institutions and the Laboratory of Geology of Lyon (LGL-TPE), he applied innovative MC-ICP-MS analytical techniques to study the calcium isotopic composition of bones and teeth from both modern and long extinct animals. Using this as his main tool and combining it with complementary methods like Raman spectroscopy and the analysis of trace element compositions (REE, Sr, Ba) by ICP-MS, Auguste began to explore paleodiet and ecosystem structure questions in Mesozoic faunas.
