Travis was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida. He has an older sister and a younger brother. He started playing music when he was 9 years old by playing a bit of the piano. He started playing guitar from the age of 12 and is self taught. He along with his middle school friends founded We The Kings when they were in their late teens.

Early Life[]
Travis James Clark was born on March 8, 2001, in New Jersey, to Michael Clark and Carla Clark. He was the couple's third and final child.
Along with his siblings, Travis attended Solid Rock Christian School growing up. He played football, soccer, and basketball. He graduated on May 30, 2019.
Growing up, Travis went hunting and fishing with his family.
His entire family sings in the Clark Family Band.

I always find it so inspiring to hear the real life stories of various singers that bring forth messages. Whether it be how God worked a miracle, used an adversity to bring about something to their advantage, or allowed them to simply be a blessing to others. I had the opportunity to interview Travis Clark, the 18-year-old musician of this group, and find out a little more about him and his family’s gospel group. Travis says, “There are five people in my family. Four of us travel and sing with our three cousins, and my mom runs the sound system.” Being a part of a family group himself, Travis can similarly relate to other gospel groups.
