Growing up in a joint family, Kishore Biyani was expected to eventually follow his father and uncles and join their textile mill business. However, Kishore Biyani was always a bit different, even while young.
He wanted to try something different. He classifies entrepreneurs into three classes, creators, preservers and destroyers. His family belonged to the preserver category, while he wanted to be a creator. He was willing to experiment and take risks. He wanted to create a readymade apparel brand. The idea was conceived in the 1980s, and after some initial setbacks, he established the Pantaloon Shoppe.

KB was born 9th august 1961 . He was the second son of Shri
Laxmi Narayan Biyani and Smt Godavari Biyani in Mumbai. He grew up with 12 cousins and siblings and went to Manav Mandir high school. He did his graduation from HR college in Mumbai
As a child he was average in studies. He loved playing
cricket and watching movies. He was always a rebel in his family questioning every social and religious norm. At college he rarely attended classes. He never enjoyed working in his family business.
He
organized a successful dandia night in his locality. This is were he showed his first sparkle of entrepreneurial talent. KB started his entrepreneurial career by selling stone wash fabric. He managed to sell lakhs of worth of fabric. This is were he made his first profit.
He first launched brand of fabric named wbb (white, blue
